Our Story
As a mother of three Black sons, I was disheartened by the lack of children's literature featuring Black male protagonists. This gap in representation inspired me to write books that not only reflect the experiences of my own boys but also empower children of all backgrounds to see themselves in the stories they read. I believe that diverse children's books are essential for fostering confidence, imagination, and a love for reading, and that by offering relatable characters, we can help increase literacy rates for all children. Through my stories, I aim to inspire young readers to discover the greatness within themselves.
